The Link Road Forest Campaign has officially launched a campaign calling for Link Road Forest to be protected as a national park.

Community members, conservation groups, wildlife rescuers and local representatives gathered in Wallsend to send a clear message: this irreplaceable bushland should be protected forever, not cleared for housing.

The campaign highlights the forest's importance as habitat for threatened species, including endangered koalas, and calls on the NSW Government to secure its future through permanent protection.
