The Link Road Forest Campaign has briefed City of Newcastle councillors on its proposal to permanently protect Link Road Forest by creating a new national park.
The presentation outlined the ecological significance of the forest, its importance as habitat for threatened wildlife, and the opportunity to preserve one of Newcastle's last large remaining bushland areas for future generations. The campaign also highlighted the community's growing support for permanent protection rather than large-scale residential development.
We appreciate Newy 87.8 FM covering the briefing and helping raise awareness of the campaign.
